Former Harvard Professor, Solicitor General Elena Kagan arrived on Capitol Hill to face rounds of questioning from United States Senators and Congressmen in her quest to become a United States Supreme Court Justice. The nominee withstood the grilling with a mixture of staunch aplomb and humor. In the end, her nomination was soundly confirmed.

Described as his “secret weapon”, First Lady Laura Bush has remained largely in her husband’s shadow. But with an approval rating 20 points higher than the President, the Bush campaign deployed her to do what she does best: make undecided voters fall in love with her. She stayed poised and on message, while juggling her roles as political operative, Presidential confidant and mother to sometimes strong willed daughters.
