Pingyao International Photography Festival, Pingyao, China

For the 9th consecutive year, The Alexia Foundation will be exhibiting at the Pingyao International Photography Festival, in Pingyao, China. Taking place Sept. 19-25 in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the ancient Walled City of Pingyao. It is one of the largest photographic festivals in the world; annually, more than 100,000 people attend.

Alexia Executive Administrator Jim Dooley, will be showing 2016 Alexia Professional Winner Aaron Vincent Elkaim’s Where The River Runs Through which documents the impact Brazil’s major hydroelectric expansion in the Amazon will have on the ecosystem and the people who live there. Dooley will also be showing 2014 Women’s Initiative Winner Mary F. Calvert’s Missing in Action: Homeless Women Veterans.
