Charlie Salerno, 8, of New York watches as the United States Army Honor Guard fold the flag covering the coffin, during the funeral in Arlington National Cemetery for his relative, Sgt. John R. Simonetti, a 26-year-old Army Ranger from Queens, N.Y. who died on June 16, 1944 during WWII in Saint-Germain-d’Elle, France. His skeletal remains were discovered in a cow pasture in France in 2009 and he will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va.
